Cooking Challenge

The Campus Cooking Challenge was held in Middle Powell on November 15th at 12pm! Students watched as our three participants were given a mystery food basket, with different food items from the Colonel's Cupboard to create into an entree dish. Each student had 30 minutes to to make their unique dish.

The judges of the contest were Dylan Bogard Coordinator of Community Service Programs & Colonel's Cupboard, Mariah Farran AmeriCorps VISTA Colonel's Cupboard Client Specialist, and Laura Jackson the EKU Student Body President.

The Participants were Savannah Day, Maya Blumenberg, and Cannon Goodrich. Maya Blumenberg was our "Golden Spoons" winner. The event was sponsored by EKU Student Life and First Year Experience.

This event was a part of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week activities at EKU. These events raise awareness of issues around the world, in the United States, and on campus. The event also promoted the Colonel's Cupboard, which provides food and toiletry items to students in need.
