Campus Events on Sept. 11 Remember Heroes

Eastern Kentucky University will host a series of programs and service projects on Thursday, Sept. 11, in remembrance of heroes who have served their communities and nation since the tragic events on that date in 2001. All programs are open to the campus and local community. 

1,400 Hours of Public Service on Alternative Spring Break

Not every college student heads to the beach or even back home for Spring Break. Forty-eight Eastern Kentucky University students (along with five faculty/staff learning partners) fanned out across the country for “Alternative Spring Break” March 10-14 and contributed more than 1,400 hours of public service.

National Recognition for Community Service

Eastern Kentucky University has earned national recognition for community service provided by its students.

The University has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, which annually highlights the role colleges and universities play in solving community problems and placing students on a lifelong path of civic engagement.
